AssetStream maintains a custodial account similar to a trust account maintained by an attorney at all major and many boutique brokerage firms and mutual fund companies. Although the securities of other AssetStream clients (“charities”) are commingled, they are accounted for separately. This is to the advantage of our client because when we open an account at a new firm on behalf of one client, all clients benefit immediately.
